Message from Hackney Council
Dear
Re: Your Freedom of Information Request
Thank you for your recent correspondence in which you requested the following information:
- Please provide the total figure for the agreed internal payment to the Hackney Council Community Safety, Enforcement and Business Regulation team by the Hackney Parks & Green Spaces Department for providing up to 5 Hackney (Enforcement) Wardens and a CCTV van for up to 12 hours per day on the agreed weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) and Bank Holidays in 2018.
- Or: If there is no agreed sum total as per FOI Request 1 above, please provide the agreed figures that will allow an accurate estimate of the total; i.e. cost per officer per weekend and number of weekends plus costs per officer per Bank Holiday and number of Bank Holiday plus any overtime budgeted.
Your request has been considered and the answer to your questions are detailed below:
- There is not anticipated to be an internal payment from the Parks and Green Space Service to the Community Safety, Enforcement and Business Regulation Service for this function in 2018/19, as the costs will be met from wider Public Realm budgets. The estimated cost at this stage of providing the function in London Fields during the summer of 2018 is £60,000.
If you are dissatisfied with this response and wish to appeal, please write to the Information Management Team, London Borough of Hackney, Hackney Service Centre, London E8 1DY and your complaint will be dealt with through our Internal Review procedure.
