Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, received 12 November 2019. Your request has been considered and our response is in bold below.

You requested the following:

I understand that Berkeley Homes have paid Section 106 money to Hackney Council as part of the Woodberry Down redevelopment.

Please can you provide me with the following information:

1) How much section 106 money has the council received from Berkeley Homes for the Woodberry Down Development?

2) A breakdown of the section 106 money that has already been spent

3) Details of what section 106 funds remain unallocated.

The Council’s Response

1. How much section 106 money has the council received from Berkeley Homes for the Woodberry Down Development?

£8,142,171

2) A breakdown of the section 106 money that has already been spent

£4,637,529 has been allocated for ongoing projects of which the following has been spent:

£75,620.10 - Highway works for Woodberry Down Kick Start Site

£1,344,945 - Woodberry Downs School expansion

£36,025.00 - traffic calming measures (New River Path)

£20,015.00 - Woodberry Down CCTV

£35,500 - Woodberry Wetland Area project

£100,000 Woodberry Down Wetlands Centre

£100,000 Supporting Residents into Sustained Employment project

3) Details of what section 106 funds remain unallocated.

£3,504,642 remain to be spent in accordance with the S106 agreement. These will fund projects in Woodberry Down area, to include transport and highways works, community facilities, public art, Skinners Academy improvements, Skinners Academy Boundary works, a children"s centre, education skills and construction training, travel plan, youth centre, community facilities, adult learning centre, libraries, car club and controlled parking zone.
