FOI Request (FOI-2086)
Customer
Good Afternoon, I am contacting you with a Freedom of Information request regarding your coronial drug screenings. My query is: What drugs of abuse are you testing for routinely in your coronial drug screening? I would like the above information to be provided to me as an email. If this request is too wide or unclear, I could be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is in the public domain already, please can you direct me to it. If the release of any of this information is prohibited on the grounds of breach of confidence, I ask that you supply me with copies of the confidentiality agreement. I understand that you are required to respond to my request within 20 working days after you receive this email. I would be grateful if you could confirm that you have received this request. Many Thanks

The Council’s Response
We regret that we do not have this information to share with you. We suggest that you try the coroner directly. Although coroners are not generally subject to the Freedom of Information Act, it does look as though you can request information direct from them via this link: https://www.mysociety.org/2018/09/18/now-you-can-ask-coroners-to-provide-information-through-whatdotheyknow/
Hackney uses the coroner for Inner North London, based at St Pancras Coroner’s Court.
