Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing from the Listed Property Owners Club to make a request under the Freedom Of Information Act for information held by London Borough of Hackney. We are presently gathering information regarding listed building consent and the rates of acceptance, rejection and appeal for these applications. In this instance we would like to request the following information:
(1) The number of listed building consent applications that were made to London Borough of Hackney during the financial years 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18 and the current 2018/19 tax year up to the present date.
(2) The number of listed building consent applications that were granted by London Borough of Hackney during the *****e period.
(3) The number of listed building consent applications that were rejected by London Borough of Hackney during the *****e period.
(4) The number of listed building consent applications that were rejected by London Borough of Hackney during this period that were subsequently appealed to the Planning Inspectorate and granted consent as a result of that appeal.
(5) The number of listed building consent applications made to London Borough of Hackney during this period that were appealed to the Planning Inspectorate as a result of not receiving an answer from London Borough of Hackney within the required eight week period after application.
(6) The number of listed building consent applications that were made under delegated powers by London Borough of Hackney in each year of the previously mentioned period.
(7) The number of conservation officers employed by London Borough of Hackney as well as the number of ancillary staff and the budget allocated to the process of listed building consent in each year of this period.
(8) The number of enforcement notices issued by London Borough of Hackney regarding listed buildings in each year of the *****e period.
(9) If any of the above information is not presently held by London Borough of Hackney; is such information held by any other local or central government organisation, and if so which body?

The Council’s Response
The information you have requested in questions 1 - 6 is exempt under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act. Section 21 (2a) states that information which is reasonably accessible to the applicant (even if it is accessible only on payment) is exempt.
In this instance, all Listed Building Consent applications for the period you have requested are able to be searched for and viewed on the Council"s website. We have provided a website link below.
