Air quality status (FOI-2594)
Message from Hackney Council
Dear ***** *****,
Thank you for your request of 7th February. We apologise for the delay in issuing this response.
Your request:
We"ve been looking at the Hackney Air Quality Status Report for 2017. On p.24 you mention that only 10 of the 39 schools that TfL identified as failing, actually fail the NAQ objectives, according to your monitoring. But it doesn"t make it clear in the report which schools you"re referring to, and how you came to that conclusion. Please can you let me know? I"m assuming these are calculations that you have already undertaken when writing this report, and can therefore share immediately? Please could you let me know?
Council"s response
We are currently unable to provide this information to you as we have not yet been in touch with all of the affected schools, and out of courtesy we would like to liaise with them in the first instance. We will be offering them advice and support as to how to mitigate against the affects of poor air quality, which will form part of the wider air quality update to schools across the borough.
At this point we will be in a position to provide the information you have requested.
If you are dissatisfied with this response and wish to appeal, please respond to this email to request an Internal Review.
If you are still not satisfied following the Internal Review, you have a right to appeal to the Information Commissioner.
