B) How many of these violations were by shisha cafe? Not Applicable (N/A)
Q2. Can you please provide the current estimated (2019) estimated number or range of shisha cafes know.? Answer 1.
Q3.A) How many inspections were made to shisha cafes by Trading Standards,Environmental Health, or other officers in 2018? Answer 4.
Q3 B) Of these inspections, how many shisha cafes required intervention due to lack of compliance with policies(including tobacco,health and safety and licensing laws? Answer 1.
Q3 C) Of these inspections,approximately how many kilograms of illicit shisha tobacco were seized in total?Answer 0
Q3 D) Of these inspections, how many led to successful prosecutions and what was the total amount ordered to pay from the shisha cafe business? Answer £0. 1 investigation ongoing.
Q4. In 2018, how many reports of underage smoking were there at shisha cafes? Answer 0.
Q5. In 2018,how many complaints were made for noise and nuisance against shisha cafes? Answer 0.
Q6. Approximately how many hours were spent(per week,month,or year-as applicable) on the enforcement of shisha cafes across Trading Standards,Environmental Health, and other relevant departments in 2018? Answer approximately 20 hours for 2018.

Q7 How many officers were allocated to deal with the enforcement of shisha in cafes in 2018? 7 officers Approx 40k. No difference daytime or nightime. No information on agencies such as Police.
Q8. Please can you provide copies of any checklists, inspection forms or other tools you use in the enforcement of shisha cafes.
It is not practical to provide all this information as there are too many services such as Environmental Health Trading Standards Police HMRC and Licensing and Planning.
We an however state the services remit covered.
EH Smoke fee enforcement
TS Tobacco labelling counterfeit alcohol spirit substitution
Community Safety - Assistance in evidence gathering and transportation
Police - support and assistance preventing breach of peace and enforcing any criminalities.
HMRC - Non duty paid alcohol and tobacco.
Licensing Enforcement - Enforcement of Licensing Act 2003.
The International Federation of Spirit Producers (IFSP) - illegal alcohol.
Wagtail UK LTD - detection of any hidden tobacco.
